These skates are ideal for a low profile feel with a shallow heel pocket, low instep and min ankle wrap.
New to the 2017 Bauer Vapor 1X skates are the Flex-Lock Pro Tongue, Lock-Fit Pro Liner and Lock-Fit Pro Facing. The Flex-Lock Pro Tongue creates a locked-in fit with forward flex and added protection through a slow-molding insert. The Lock-Fit Pro Liner keeps your foot dry and locked in place for maximum agility and acceleration. Lace up and go with the Lock-Fit Pro Facing which is a combination of additional lace lock and a softer flex composition. The 1X injected facing creates a locked fit so your next stride is as fast as your last.
The quarter package of this skate is a 3-D lasted Curv® composite upper with X-rib pattern and Comfort Edge padding. The Comfort Edge padding provides comfort around the top of the ankle so the skates do not dig in around your ankles when skating. The Curv® composite heel and ankle provide exceptional support while skating and a pro level of protection. The lightweight memory foam ankle pads help with comfort around the ankle areas and also ensure your foot stays secure in the skate.
The 2017 Bauer Vapor 1X Skates feature a ventilated full carbon composite outsole for durability and breathability. The TUUK Lightspeed Edge holders are the preferred holder of many NHL players as runners can easily be swapped out when an edge is lost or to easily alternate between different sets. This skate has TUUK LS4 stainless steel runners which feature a high grade stainless steel with polished finish for increased edge retention properties. The higher steel profile also gives a longer sharpening life and greater angle of attack (10? stock radius).

The Speed Plates™ feature a recovery allow that provides the player with a revolutionary customized fit for the entire foot.
