The 2016 Bauer Nexus 1N Hockey Stick features new control shaft geometry which means the shaft is 14% rounder, giving players improved grip and contact for greater control. Easy load taper technology allows for a smoother, easier load that creates more consistency which each shot through a moderate taper. The new and improved Sweet Spot allows players to load their shots even easier than before by thinning the taper and creating rounder corners. The X axis has been softened even more than the previous Bauer 1N hockey stick for this reason.
All Bauer Nexus sticks feature a mid-kick point which is great for players with a heavy shot or defensemen who like to utilize their slap shot. Control Shaft Geometry increases the control a player has on their stick using “Grip Zone” technology to limit hand slip and the Easy Load Taper Technology lets players load their shot faster.

An updated process has integrated SENSE layer materials with TeXtreme® carbon fiber on the outer portion of the blade. By integrating SENSE layer materials the overall blade weight is reduced and the balance is improved.
